Mrs. Lena DeWitt, Former Resident Of County, Dies

Mrs. Lena Cave DeWitt, 80, former Henry County resident died Monday in the Methodist hospital, Indianapolis, as the result of a broken hip, suffered two weeks ago.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Ernest Gauker of Indianapolis, with whom Mrs. DeWitt had made her home for the past 22 years, and Mrs. Gertrude Catey of New Castle; a granddaughter, Mrs. Howard Warning of Indianapolis and two great-grandchildren.

Mrs. DeWitt was a member of the Northwood Christian church, Indianapolis. She has many friends in Henry County.

The body was taken to the Helms and Son funeral home in Lewisville where friends may call any time up until 10:30 O'clock Wednesday morning, after which the body will be returned to Indianapolis to the home of Mrs. Gauker, 251 Buckingham Drive, for funeral services.

Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 10 o'clock in the Gauker home with Rev. Theo Fisher, pastor of the Northwood Christian church officiating. Burial will be in the Lewisville cemetery.
