Funeral services for Pvt. Junior L. Knight will be held at Lowell Methodist Church this Thursday afternoon, Aug. 19, at 3:30, with the Rev. S. D. Lankford and the Rev. Albert Kaylor officiating. Interment will be in the city cemetery, with members of Co. I 200th Inf. Regt., Alabama National Guard serving as honorary and active pallbearers.
Pvt. Knight died in action at Thorn, Germany, on Feb. 20, 1945. He was 26 years of age.
He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Herb Knight, of Roanoke; his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Sally Knight, of Roanoke; and one sister, Mrs. William Dowdy, of Roanoke.
