(ROANOKE) Funeral services for Lois Selma Hill, 89, of Roanoke will be Friday, Nov. 21, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Keith Benefield officiating. Burial will follow at Cedarwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Hill died Wednesday, Nov. 19, at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika.

A Randolph County native, Mrs. Hill was born Feb. 22, 1925, the daughter of Levi and Lula Veal Alsabrook. She was a member of Midway Full Gospel Church and was a retired lunchroom worker at Handley High School.

Survivors include two daughters, Susan Hill of Decatur, Ga., and Kathy Hill Nixon (husband, Phillip) of Canton, Ga.; one son, Jackie Hill of Wedowee; one daughter-in-law, Becky Jane Hill of Roanoke; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Mrs. Hill was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Douglas P. Hill; two sons, William Hill and Dallas P. Hill; seven brothers, Grover, Melvin, Willis, Henry, Dawson, Elton and Jim Alsabrook; three sisters, Willie Belle Sears, Bertha Roberts and Elizabeth Blanks; and one grandson.

Pallbearers will be Chance Hill, Wesley Hill, Sammy Hill, Donnie Anthony, Heath Hill, Je Vivanco and Jeremy Hill.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday.
