Kevin Terrence Fitzpatrick, 53, Inverness, died June 27, 2009, after a lengthy illness at Shands Hospital, University of Florida. Kevin was born in Ocala, Florida, on Aug 11, 1955, to Charles B. and Dorothy Fitzpatrick Jr. and was a lifetime resident of this area. He graduated from Citrus High School and attended the University of Florida. Kevin was the founder of the Fitzpatrick Insurance Agency in Inverness and a member of the Inverness Golf & Country Club, where he served on the Board of Directors and as president of the association. Other affiliations included the Phi Delta Theta Fraternity, past president of Inverness Kiwanis Club, Fair Association Board of Directors, Gator Alumni and Bass Club. He loved to fly his plane, fish, snow ski, and fly kites. Kevin loved life and lived it to the fullest.
Kevin leaves his wife, Adele (Stregare) Fitzpatrick; two daughters, Kaela Jean and Lauren Adele Fitzpatrick; his mother, Dorothy Burkhalter Fitzpatrick; two brothers, Michael Fitzpatrick and his wife, Brenda, and Patrick Fitzpatrick and his wife, Laura Lou. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles B. Fitzpatrick Jr (Jan 1, 1986), and two brothers, Timothy Fitzpatrick (Sept 8, 1979) and Richard "Spike" Fitzpatrick (Mar 20, 2006).
The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Wednesday,. July 1 at 10:00 A.M. from Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church with Fr. James Johnson, celebrant. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home Tuesday evening from 6 to 8PM.
