Gerald R. Allar, 69, of Cable, died Sunday, May 18, at Hayward Nursing Home. Gerald Ray was born Sept. 8, 1938 in Henry, Ill., the son of Glenn and Clara (Couey) Allar. He attended Cable Grade School and graduated from South Shore High School. Gerald worked for Dupont in Barksdale, Wis., was a maintenance man for Telemark in Cable and was also a painter. He also enjoyed fishing.

He is survived by his mother, Clara of Hayward; brothers, Douglas (Tammy) of Eldorado, Kan., Robert of Cable, Tom (Lynn) of Gillette, Wyo., Ted of Hayward, Dennis (Phyllis) of Jordon, Minn., Steven (Carol) of Marshfield, Wis.; sisters, Janice (Bob) Bergum of Hayward, Bonnie Hoffman of Cable, Glenora (James) Peltonen of Clear Lake, Wis.; many nephews; nieces; and cousins.

Gerald was preceded in death by his father, Glenn.

Funeral: Graveside Services will be held at a later date in the Earl Cemetery.
