Son of Sovereign and Lucy Ross Vanderwerker, he was married twice. According to Daniel Reid Ross, his first marriage was to Maria G. Reid, who was born 10/12/1812 and died 10/25/1880 in Sextonville, Wisc. Maria and Isaac had three children, Margaret, Mary and Daniel. His second marriage was to Adelia Safford, daughter of E.E. and Amelia (Almey) Safford of Saratoga County. Isaac and Adelia had two sons; Isaac Edward and George Sovereign. His second marriage was June 6, 1860 in Glens Falls, Warren County, NY. He lived 92 years.
