Miss Baumgaertner Dies Here; Rites Slated Tuesday
Miss Louise Baumgaertner, 92, died this morning at Phoebe Putney Hospital following an illness. Affectionally called "Aunt Lou", she made her home with her niece and nephew, Mr. and Mrs. Paul H. Winter, 2101 Robin Hood Road. Miss Baumgertner moved to Albany in 1945, remaining here until 1954, again returning in 1960. She was a member of the First Methodist Church of Albany and the Mother's Sunday School Class. Survivors include four nieces, Miss Bertha Winter of Lincoln, Neb., Miss Isabelle Niehoff, Miss Maxine Niehoff, and Miss Evangeline Niehoff, all of St. Louis, Mo.; three nephews, Eugene Baumgaertner, Hermann, Mo., Hugo Winter, Gothenburg, Neb., and Paul H. Winter of Albany; a number of great nieces and great nephews and two great-great nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 4 p.m. in the First Methodist Church, Dr. J. Frederick Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Floral Memory Gardens. The Mother's Class of the First Methodist Church has been requested to attend the service in a group. Pallbearers will be announced later by Kimbrell-Stern Funeral Directors.
