Hutchinson News - Joyce Bass, 64, of Hutchinson died oct. 6, 1999, at Hutchinson Hospital. She was born March 15, 1935, at Hutchinson, the daughter of Albert and Louise Eldridge Stoughton. She attended Hutchinson schools. A lifetime Hutchinson resident, she was a bag turning machine operator for Hutchinson Bag Corporation, Hutchinson, retiring in 1995. She belonged to the Textile Worker Union. On April 17, 1985, she married William Bass at Enid, Okla. He died Jan. 17, 1993. Survivors include: two sons, James L. Gilbert, Hutchinson, and Steven Gilbert, Tacoma, Wash.; three daughters, Sandra Knoll, Tacoma Wash., and Betsy Camp and Linda Gilbert, both of Hutchinson; a sister, Connie Rogalsky, Hutchinson; seven grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Johnson & Sons Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, Hutchinson. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be in Eastside Cemetery, Hutchinson. Memorials may be sent to the American Diabetes Association in care of the funeral home.
