Mark Cloyed Bailey was born in Hutchinson, KS, to Ella May (Cornwell) and Joseph W. Bailey on Aug. 5.1953. He attended Sherman Jr. High School before graduating with the Hutchinson High School Class of 1971.
While attending the University of Kansas, Lawrence, Mark and another student were killed June 24, 1978, when the car they were riding in was struck by a drunk driver.
He was survived by his parents and his sister, Kristine (Bailey) Norris.
