Mary was born on February 19, 1926 in Montenerodomo, Italy.
She came to the United States in 1928 to live in Canton, Ohio. She graduated from McKinley High School in Canton in 1944.
Mary was a long-time member of the Catholic Church of St. Peter in Lorain. She enjoyed taking care of her family, cooking and music.
She was preceded in death by her son Vincent in 2000, husband of 57 years Augustine in 2004, parents Rafael and Carmela DiFrancesco (nee Gialuca) and infant brother Anthony DiFrancesco. She is survived by her sons Anthony of Lorain and August (Sue) of Jacksonville, Florida, daughter Patricia of Lorain, 6 grandchildren and brother Benjamin DiFrancesco of Canton.
The family will receive friends Monday 5 to 8 p.m. at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 9:30 am in the funeral chapel followed by the Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday at 10:00 am at the Catholic Church of St. Peter, 3501 Oberlin Ave., Lorain.
The Rev. Chuck Henkle, associate pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
