Vicki Wheeler, 52, Altoona
Vicki Diane Wheeler, 52, of Altoona, died of complications of a brain ailment Jan. 21, 2000, at Madrid Home in Madrid, where she had lived 1 1/2 years. Services were held Jan. 24 at Altoona Funeral Home, with burial in Altoona Cemetery.
Mrs. Wheeler was born in Des Moines and had lived in California and
Creston before moving to the Altoona area 40 years ago. She had worked at Principal Financial and was a teacher with the Southeast Polk schools, Des Moines Area Community College and Basics and Beyond.
Survivors include a daughter, Angela Strong of Madrid; a son, Todd
Wheeler, her mother, Barbara Evans, and a sister, Heidi Lambert, all of Altoona; two brothers, Dean Evans of Altoona and Dennis Evans of Reinbeck; and a grandchild.
