Daisy B. "Gram" Ray, 92, of Greensburg went home to be with the Lord on Monday Sept. 3, 2007, at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility in Columbus. She was born March 20, 1915, in Decatur County, the daughter of Hugh and Mary Grace Wilson Bills, and married Edgar D. Ray on April 15, 1935. He preceded her in death Jan. 15, 1967.
Mrs. Ray had been a seamstress for the Carol Cook Dress Factory, retiring in 1968, and was a member of Greensburg Wesleyan Church.
Survivors include a son-in-law, Richard Byrd; a granddaughter, Terry (Dan) Dinsmore, and a grandson, Tim (Carlene) Byrd, both of Greensburg; five great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband; a daughter, Bonita Byrd; brothers, Jesse, Harvey, Dawson, Paul, Samuel, Estel, Bernard and David Bills; and sisters, Lucy Scheibler and Violet Wilson.
The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home in Greensburg, with the Rev. Doug Preston officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday. Burial will be at South Park Cemetery in Greensburg.
Memorial contributions may be made to Greensburg Wesleyan Church or Hospice of Decatur County.
