Albert Roy Davenport, born Dec. 6, 1879 at Grizzly Bluff, California, a son of Joseph A. and Elizabeth Slingsby Davenport. He was preceded in death by his wife Amy (Goble) Davenport in July of 1971. He was a rancher and had lived in the Myrtle Point area for 65 years.

He is survived by four sons; Joseph Albert, William Rodney and Lloyd Clifton Davenport, all of Myrtle Point, and Ernest E. Davenport of Silverton; five daughters: Mrs. Robert (Lila) Ocheltree, Mrs. Frank (Dolores) Larsen and Mrs. Herbert (Bernice) Haughton, all of Myrtle Point, Mrs. Arthur (Lois) Jensen of Long Beach, Calif., and Mrs. Leland B. (Audrey) Holt of Redway, Calif.
