Born June 22 1928 in Ray County MO, she was the daughter of Wilbur Joseph and Reta Madeline (Cavender) Gulley. In October 1946 she was married to Donald Louis Love who preceded her in death January 4 2004. Also preceding her in death were her parents and two sisters, Kathleen Spurbeck and Betty Allred.
Surviving are daughter Jennifer Hosman and fiancé Chris Brenton of Richmond; son Terry Love and wife Wanda of Richmond; sister Joan Herlihy of San Antonio TX; 4 grandchildren, Amy Love, Jerrett Love, Nathan Hosman and Sydney Hosman; 2 great-grandchildren, Gabriel Mansell and Jayden Love and several nieces and nephews.
Dorothy was a graduate of Stet High School. Following her marriage she was a beauty operator for 8 years and also worked at Cox's Greenhouse until 1986. She was a homemaker and often did babysitting for her family. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, canning and especially spending time with her children and grandchildren whom she adored.
Funeral: Tuesday June 30 2009 11am at Polley Funeral Home in Richmond.
Visitation: 10-11am Tuesday at the funeral home.
Burial: Richmond Memory Gardens
