Mrs. Mary McKeeby, 71, died Tuesday afternoon at St. Vincent's hospital, Monett, where she had been taken Saturday with a heart ailment. She had become ill ten days ago, although in failing health for several years.
Mary Belle Walton was born at Hamilton, MO, and was married at Hennessey, Okla., to W.D. McKeeby, who died in May, 1941. They lived at Topeka, Kans., 25 years, then at Onega, Kan., and came here in 1930 from LaVerne, Okla.
Mrs. McKeeby is survived by three sons, Clarence Johnson, a son by a former marriage, Ira McKeeby of Pierce City and Orville McKeeby of Houston, Tex.; a daughter, Mrs W.L. Miller of Santa Barbara, CA., and a brother, Willie Walton of Amarillo, TX. Orville McKeeby and Mrs. Miller arrived today.
Funeral services will be at the Methodist church at 2 p.m., Friday with Rev. C.V. McGrew officiating. Burial will be in the City cemetery under direction of the Wilks Brothers funeral home.
