Lorain- Zenaida E. Abella (nee Enriquez), 65, of Lorain, died Saturday, April 3, 2004, at Community Health Partners Hospital, Lorain, following a brief illness.

She was born January 8, 1939, in the Philippines. She lived in Lorain since 1965.

She attended commerence school in the Philippines and took courses in accounting and finance at Lorain County Community College.

She was a member of the Catholic Church of St. Peter, Lorain, and enjoyed gourmet cooking, golf, tennis, reading, playing Mah Jong and flower gardening, especially orchids.


Survivors include her daughters, Sarah T. Abella of Lorain and Stella A. Baccaray pf Avon Lake; son Dale M. Abella of Lansing. Ill.; sister Corazon Vita of California; and brothers Victorino Enriquez of California and Andres and Renato Enriquez of the Philippines. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Deogracia M. Abella, in 1993; parents, Arcadio and Felicidad (nee Escamis) Enriquez; sisters Rosa Osuna, Gertrude Arcigal and Regalada Monilla, and a sister Flora Enriquez and a brother Isidro Enriquez in infancy.

Friends may call Tuesday, 4 to 8 pm., at Gulvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway, Lorain. Services will be there Wednesday at 10:30 am will be followed at 11 am by Mass in the Catholic Church of St. Peter. The Rev. David G. Woost, associate pastor, will officate.
