Mr. Rayburn C. Jones was born March 1, 1926 in Eldorado, Oklahoma the son of Luther Jones and Pearl Shook Jones. He married Nadine Cleveland Jones on November 8, 1947 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. After retirement Mr. Jones began woodworking and furniture making, he also did welding on autos and for crafts. He enjoyed gardening and was a very active Christian man, he served as a Deacon, a sunday school teacher and trustee at the Eastside Freewill Baptist Church. Mr. Jones passed this life on June 25, 2009 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas after having attained the age of 83 years, 3 months and 24 days. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Nadine; 2 daughters and one son-in-law, Carol and Bob Taylor of Osage, OK and Janet Langdon of Van Buren, AR; 3 grandsons, Scott Sharp and wife Robin of Muldrow, OK, Aaron Taylor and wife Judy of Osage, OK and Phillip Taylor and wife Brittany of Osage, OK; 2 great granddaughters, Libby and Sadie Sharp of Muldrow and soon two more great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Pearl Jones. Services are scheduled for Monday, June 29, 2009 at 11 am at Eastside Freewill Baptist Church with interment at Muldrow Memory Gardent. Rev. Anthony Williams will officiate. Pallbears will be Carlos Short, Earl Roberts, Jim McCloud, Robert Kelly, Elton Butcher, Everett Hardin, and the men of Eastside Freewill Baptist Church.
