Carrie Prestwood, age 81, died at Lutheran Home-Hickory West in Hickory. She was the daughter of Gordon and Fannie Mae (Spears) Nichols. She married Rafe Eller, then married Rev. Francis Lee Prestwood. She was preceded in death by both husbands, her parents, her sons, Andrew Eller, Gwyn Eller, and an infant, and her siblings, Mae Huffman, Mary Watson, Dora Smith, Charles Nichols, McKinley Nichols, and Arthur Nichols. Survivors include her sons, David Eller and Paul Eller, her step-sons, Bob Prestwood, Jerry Prestwood, and Nolan Prestwood, and her brother, Edward Nichols. Funeral services were held at Arbor Grove Methodist Church. Burial was in the church cemetery.
