Gena Cecil Davis, 82, formerly of Scott County, died March 31, 2000, in Batesville, Miss. She was the daughter of the late William and Nancy Duncan Cecil. In addition to her parents, she was preceded also in death by her husband, George Davis; two brothers, Virgil Cecil and Bill Cecil; and one sister, Laura Carson. She is survived by one daughter, Pat Powers and husband, Al; one grandson, three great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and many other relatives. Funeral service was conducted April 3, 2000, at Helenwood Baptist Church with Rev. Roger Cecil officiating. Interment followed in Daniel Memorial Cemetery.
