He was born Nov. 11, 1930, in Riverton, the son of Charles and Marjorie Bloomfield Hulett Sr. He married Joyce Barrington on March 13, 1953, in Springfield.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Joyce; son, Michael; brother, Richard; and sister, Idell Waller.
He is survived by two sons, Charles (Toni) Hulett III of Springfield and Patrick (Jamie) Hulett of New Berlin; a daughter, Pam Hulett of Williamsville; 10 grandchildren, Melissa (Brian) Schultetus, Rachel (Jamie) Sullivan, Mike, Charlie, Adam, Brooke, Sara, Lauren, Ryne, and Tyler Hulett; five great-grandchildren, Shelly, Alex, Caleb, Kaleigh, and Keira; four brothers, Harold, Dave, Phillip, and William Hulett; three sisters, Nancy Crim, Shirley Behl, and Mary Lee Rees; and several nieces and nephews.
Charles was a Rockford Insurance agent, retiring after 25 years. He served in the U.S. Navy.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. Monday, June 15, 2009, at Ellinger-Kunz and Park Funeral Home, 530 N. Fifth St., with the Rev. Vaughn Beeman officiating. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park.
