FLORENCE

Graveside services for Norma Ruth Roche, 78, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Garden City Cemetery in Garden City.

Mrs. Roche died Feb. 6, 2005, in Florence.

She was born June 15, 1926, in Big Spring and was raised and educated in Garden City. She was the valedictorian of her Garden City High School class.

Mrs. Roche received her bachelor of arts degree from the University of Texas in 1948 and became a teacher.

She taught school in Killeen and Florence for a number of years.

Mrs. Roche spent most of married life on a ranch in Williamson County.

She was a member of the Faith Family Church in Georgetown, where she taught Sunday school.

She married Warren Roche Jan. 11, 1950, in Austin.

Mrs. Roche was preceded in death by her parents, Harry Calverly and Anna Ruby Hardy; and her stepfather, J.W. Hardy.

The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Young Chapel in Florence.
