Jerry was born October 9, 1932 at Moorhead, MN. He was raised and educated in Fargo, graduating from Fargo Central High School. He began working at a bowling alley at age 12 and worked at Foster Foods and the Dutch Maid when he was 16. He was united in marriage with Shirley Herbold in 1955 at the American Lutheran Church in Fargo. He began working for Cass-Clay Creamery, when he was 20, and worked home delivery for twenty-three years and then over the road for nineteen years, before retiring in 1995. He was united in marriage with Ramona Denning on October 13, 1990 at Peace Lutheran Church in Fargo. He drove Senior Bus for six months. He had worked part time for Parking Services of Fargo. As his final gift of life, he donated his eyes.

He is survived by: his wife, Ramona; three daughters, Barbara (Ken) Iken Murack, Las Vegas, NV, J. Lea Iken, Fargo, ND, and Linda (Randy) Iken Brogren, Fargo, ND; two grandchildren, Kylie & Blake Brogren; step-children, Pamela Bullard, Denton, TX, Anita (Tony) Gallegos, Denver, CO, Carmen (Chris) Carlisle, Vero Beach, FL, and Douglas Denning, Denver, CO; 9 step-grandchildren and 1 step-great granddaughter; three sisters and two brothers, Liz (Sam) Braff, Salem, OR, Helen (Clyle) Dwyer, Fargo, ND, Gladys Knighton, Albuquerque, NM, Charles Iken, Fargo, ND and Ray (Sue) Iken, Altos, OK.

He was preceded in death by his son, Richard in 1984 and his seven brothers and sisters.

Memorial Service: 11 AM, Saturday, March 22nd at Peace Lutheran Church, Fargo.

Inurnment: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fargo.
