Luther Robert Baskett was born September 8, 1909 to Mrs. and Mrs. E.E. Baskett, at Eakly, Caddo County, Oklahoma and died of a heart attack November 30, 1968 at Cooperton. He was married to Ruby Louise Jones, September 30, 1935 in Oklahoma City and six children were born to them.
His parents preceded him in death.
Among his survivors are his wife of the home; his children, Ronald Baskett, Cooperton; Marvin Baskett, Rozel, Kansas; Mrs. Roger (Gwendolyn) Halverson, Moore; Mrs. Hallie (Coleta) Bowen, Norman; Dewayne Baskett of the home; Mrs. George (Donna) Bevers, Chickasha; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Inez Stephens of Copperas Cove, Texas and Beatrice Baskett, San Pedro, California.
