Hamilton Jones was born in Virginia and married Sara C. Jones in Wake County, North Carolina. They had 11 children. He is my 3rd. Great Grandfather through his son, Calvin Hamilton Jones, Robert Wright Jones, Samuel Mabel Jones and Lula Inez (Jones) Madden. He was in Limestone County Alabama in 1840 and bought land for his 3 sons' inheritance in Fannin County, Texas, near Bonham, in the 1850s. He, many of his other children's families, and many friends moved to Mariana, Arkansas where he built a home and lived until he died. He was a successful farmer and father to many, many Joneses that still live in Texas.
