Minnie Fewell is buried with her husband, Porter Fewell, who she married on February 7, 1909, in Texas. He died on Nov. 1, 1950. They were devout Christians and Southern Baptists. Unable to have children, they helped raise George Stever Long, second son of Minnie's sister, Eula Gant Barnett, during the depression years and after. She was my great aunt, Aunt Minnie, and was one of the strongest Christian witnesses of my life.
