Herbert W. Lentz, 62. Cashmere, died Thursday, June 15, in a Wenatchee hospital Mr. Lentz was born May 27, 1916, in At age six, he moved to Cashmere with his parents and then to the coast, where ho grew up near Eatonville. He worked as a pipe-fitter and plumber at Grand Coulee Dam during the construction of the dam. He married Dorothy Brisky on June 28, 1939. it Dryden. During World War H, Mr. Lentz worked in the Seattle shipyards. Following the war, he lived in Longview to 16 years installing radar stations to the government In 1963 he moved to Cashmere where he operated a plumbing shop and did the construction to many of the rest areas along Eastern Washington highways. Five years ago, Mr. Lentz sold his plumbing business and then operated the Blewett Hotel in Cashmere. Later he operated Cashmere Valley Antique Shop. Mr. Lentz was a member of Congregational Church of Marlin. Surviving are his wife, Dorothy, home; two daughters, Mrs. Mathews, Renton, and Fern Dronen Cashmere; six grandchildren; three sisters, Hilda Pratt and Mrs. Phillips, both of Tacoma, and E McKinney of Nipomo Beach, Cal. He was preceded in death by 1 brothers and his parents. Funeral services were held Monday morning in the Braun Funeral Chapel with William Mathews officiating.
