She was born June 12, 1943, in Lima to Robert V. and Dorothea R. Brakes Brunk. Her father survives in Lima. On August 4, 1968, she married Robert Edward Dawson Sr., who survives.
Mrs. Dawson had worked at Odd Lots. She was a member of North Park Community Church. She was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 370 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1275 auxiliaries.
Survivors also include three sons, Steven W. (Dawn) Dawson and Kevin E. (Bobbie) Dawson both of Lima, and Robert Edward (Mary) Dawson Jr. of Columbus Grove; five brothers, Jim Brunk, Robert Brunk, Terry Brunk, Kim Brunk and Randy Brunk, all of Lima; two sisters, Sheri Shaffer and Renee Knotts, both of Lima; and four grandchildren.
Memorial services were held at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. The Reverend James Loughrin officiated.
