"Elizabeth M. ‘Betty' Racho"
Elizabeth M. "Betty" Racho, 78, of 148 N. Wyoming St., Hazleton, died Tuesday morning at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. Born in West Hazleton, she was the daughter of the late John and Barbara (Maylath) Maylath and was a member of St. John's Byzantine Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Rosary Society, pirohi workers and bingo workers. Prior to retiring a number of years ago, she was a cook at St. John's B.C. School for over 20 years.

Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were her husband, Michael, in 1989; and brothers, John and Vincent.

The funeral will be held Friday at 9 a.m. from the Frank J. Bonin Funeral Home, 542-544 N. Wyoming St., Hazleton. Divine Liturgy with Office of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. in St. John's B.C. Church. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Drums. Friends and relatives may call Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m., where a Parastas will be held at 7 p.m.

The funeral of Elizabeth (Betty) M. Racho, North Wyoming Street, Hazleton, who died Tuesday at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, was held Friday from the Frank J. Bonin Funeral Home Inc. The Rev. Carmen Scuderi gave the blessing at the funeral home, celebrated the Mass of Christian Burial in St. John's B.C. Church and gave the final blessing in Calvary Cemetery. The pallbearers were Adam and Eric Cusatis, grandsons; Joseph Gentle, grandson; Jeffrey and Micahel Racho Jr., grandsons and Chris Cusatis, son-in-law.
