William Doggett, 65, a long-time resident of Cashmere, died Friday evening In a Wenatchee hospital. Born Feb. 3, 1913, in Grant County, he moved to Cashmere in 1924 and graduated from Cashmere High School in 1932. On Dec. 17, 1933, he married Evelyn Munroe at Dayton.

Mr. Doggett was employed, by the Schmitten Lumber Co. for 40 years and he and his wife owned and operated the Kashmir Gardens for 11 years. He was a member of the Cashmere Baptist Church and was a city councilman for two terms.

Survivors Include his wife, at the home; two daughters, Mrs. Bob (Pat) Bullls of Cashmere and Mrs. Dennis (Judy) Nolan of Port Townsend; a son, Richard Doggett of Honolulu, Hawaii; three sisters, Mrs. Jim (Pearl) Mead of Los Altos, Calif., Mrs. Nell (Bertha) Nelson of Cashmere and Mrs. Lou (are) Conley of Seattle; a brother, Claude Doggett of Kingsburg, Calif.; and six grandchildren.

Services were held Tuesday morning in the Cashmere Baptist Church with Rev. James Merlin officiating. Earl Barnes acted as organist. Burial took place in the Cashmere Cemetery. The Braun Funeral Home in Cashmere was in charge of arrangements.
