He died at 6:15 am at his home at I street and 13th street from pneumonia, came to California in March of 1850, a member of the first Merced Grand Juries, first County assessor and Surveyor. Elected to the State Assembly in 1952, leaves a widow and two surviving children, native of Indiana and was 75 years, 7 months and 17 days.
