MRS. COLLINGS DIES
AT DAUGHTER'S HOME
Mrs. Eugenia Collings, 2502 North Delaware street [another obit says 2302 North New Jersey street], a resident of Indianapolis for almost half a century, died yesterday morning at the home of her daughter, Mr. Lewis J. Brown, 3838 North Pennsylvania street, after an illness of three weeks.
Funeral services will be held at the home of Mrs. Brown at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon. Burial will be in Crown Hill cemetery.
Mrs. Collings was born in Shelbyville in 1859, and came to Indianapolis forty-eight years ago. she was a member of the Third Church of Christ, Scientist, and Fidelity Rebekah Lodge, No. 227.
Survivors are the daughter, five grandchildren, Ray Moses, Franklin Moses, Helen Moses, Miss Gertrude Brown and Mrs. Harold E. Wright of Indianapolis, and two sisters, Mrs. Cora Hare of Sheridan and Mrs. Cass Boxley of Oakland, Cal. Her husband, Franklin C. Collings, died in July, 1915.

DISCREPANCIES WITH REGARD TO HER DATE OF BIRTH:
The obituary (above) says she was born in 1859. The death certificate says she was born in 1859. The tombstone says she was born in 1858. In the 1860 census, she is listed as 2 years old as of 1 June 1860. (She is listed in the household headed by her father, Turner Edson, in Noblesville, Hamilton Co, IN, on p. 246.) so, assuming she was born in April, it must have been 15 April 1858.
