BURRELL – Brenda L., 39, Richland Township, went to be with the Lord June 22, 2009. She was born Nov. 10, 1969, in Johnstown, daughter of John and Vicki L. (Swank) Zawalish, both of Johnstown. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Connie (Swank) Emert. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her loving husband of 16 years, Lance E. Burrell, Richland; daughters, Victoria Lynn and Lauren Faith, both of Richland; maternal grandfather, Ralph A. Swank, Johnstown; paternal grandparents, Albert Sr. and Rose (Siciliano) Zawalish, Upper Yoder Township; siblings, John, married to the former Rebekah Long, Roxbury; and Tara, wife of Peter Furfari Jr., and Derek Zawalish, all of Richland Township; and special nieces, Hayley and Lindsey Furfari. Brenda was employed for many years at Sentara Bayside Hospital, Virginia Beach, Va., as a Credentials Analyst. She was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church. Brenda touched everyone she met with her kindness and pure heart. Her courage and strength throughout her illness never waned. Brenda's greatest joy was her two girls and her family. She will always be remembered as the best wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend anyone could ever have. At the family's request, there will be a private viewing and Mass. Committal will be at Richland Mausoleum. The family suggests memorial contributions be directed to St. Benedict Catholic School, 2306 Bedford St., Johnstown, Pa. 15904, in memory of Brenda. The family is being served by the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland.
