She was born September 21, 1919, at Trinidad to George Hershal and Beulah (Cargill) Strohm. They moved to Monitor and Brender Canyon where she was raised. She graduated from Cashmere High School in 1939. She married Francis A. "Snooks" Adkins July 3, 1942, at Coeur d'Alene and they lived in Cashmere since that time. Mr. Adkins died in 1985.
Survivors include her sons, Gary and Raymond, both of Cashmere, Duane of Pateros,; a daughter, Carolyn Harris, Cashmere; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandson. She was also preceded in death by a brother.
Graveside services were held Monday, July 2, from Cashmere Cemetery with Reverend Bob Hasseries officiating.
