KILLED AT BUTTE
Shortly before noon Tuesday, Mrs. Thos. Jeffries, of Butte, while crossing a street was struck and knocked down by the delivery team of the Eagle bakery, Jacob Osenburg proprietor, and received injuries from which she died later in the day. The team was driven by a boy, and getting beyond his control ran away. The unfortunate woman left a husband and a son 6 years old. From all accounts it seems to have been one of those accidents which human foresight cannot guard against.
