Colleen York Blonquist, 78, passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2009 in Bountiful, Utah.

She was born December 5, 1930 in Salt Lake City, Utah the daughter of Golden and Alta York. She graduated from South High School and later married Lawrence Blonquist.

Colleen was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in the Primary and Scouts. She was very creative and loved to paint and collect Madame Alexander Dolls. She enjoyed attending quarter horse races, but most of all she enjoyed outings to the ranch and spending time with family.

She is survived by her husband Lawrence, sons Craig Blonquist, Jon (Donna) Blonquist, daughter Laurie (Arthur) Lovato, six grandchildren, and brother Boyd (Francis) York. Preceded in death by a son Mike, grandson Matthew Lovato, brother Grant and sister Deon.

Funeral services will be held 11 am Friday, June 26, 2009 at Lindquist's Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N 400 E. where friends may call Thursday from 6-8pm and Friday 9:45-10:45 am prior to services.

Interment Bountiful City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 855 E. 4800 S. Salt Lake City, Utah 84107. Condolences may be shared at www.lindquistmortuary.com
