Mr. Lollar died Monday, April 5, 2010, at his home and surrounded by his family. He was born Feb. 20, 1929, in Putnam County to the late Robert Herman and Agnes Bunola Lamb Lollar.
Elmer worked for more than 40 years with Acme Boot Company, with several of those years as manager of the Acme Boot outlet store on South Jefferson Avenue. He also served as president of the Putnam County Singing Convention and served his church as Sunday school teacher for 40 years and music minister for 49 years.
His family includes two daughters and sonsinlaw, Sandra and Jack Johnson and Becky and Joe Mullins, all of Cookeville; a son and daughterinlaw, Bob and Judy Lollar of Cookeville; two brothers and sistersinlaw, Delmer and Betty Lollar of Clinton and James and Kathy Lollar of Baxter; six grandchildren, Kris and wife Maria Johnson, Brent Mullins, Charles and wife Jessica Mullins, Michael Mullins, Tammy and husband Mark Brady and Robert and wife Tiffany Lollar, all of Cookeville; and four greatgrandchildren, Kelsey and Kaylee Mullins and Will and Wes Brady.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine Bowman Lollar.
