Funeral Services Today For Retired Merchant at Curtiss, Benjamin Green

Curtiss, Dec. 7, - Funeral services were held this afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Reformed Church for Benjamin Butler Green, 68, resident of this community for forty-two years, who died at is home at 5:15 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, following a heart attack. the Rev. W. P. Powell of Owen officiated and interment was in the church cemetery.
The deceased was born at Williamsburg, Ohio, October 3, 1866, and was married to Miss Sarah Stanfield at Clarksville, Ohio, April 23, 1890. They accompanied Mr. Green's parents and three brothers to Curtiss in 1892 where they entered the lumbering business and where Mr. Green opened a general merchandise establishment in 1909, from which business he had retired. He is survived by his widow, two daughters, Mrs. Jacob Johnson of Curtiss and Mrs. Lawrence Neitzel of Abbotsford, two sons, Stacy Green of Valparaiso, Ind., and Ralph Green of Curtiss, and a sister, Mrs. Cora Madden of Clarksville, Ohio.
