Jewell Delphia-Jane (Austin) Austin, age 86, of Marshville, N.C., died Sunday, June 21, 2009, at CMC Union in Monroe, N.C.
Born June 29, 1922, in Union County, she was the daughter of the late George "Pet" Austin and the late Pearl (Walters) Austin. She is also preceded in death by her husband Homer David Austin.
She is survived by her three Daughters: Patricia (Austin) Mullis of Stanfield, Lorraine (Austin) Helms of New Salem, Angel (Austin) Tarleton of New Salem; four Sons: Allen Austin of New Salem, Royce Austin of New Salem, Boyce Austin of New Salem, Tim Austin of Locust; One Sister: Zeda Austin of New Salem; sixteen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren.
Austin was self-employed as a homemaker and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church of Marshville, N C.
Funeral service will be at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Marshville, N C at 2:00 PM Wednesday, June 24, 2009 , Rev. Gene Lee Hopkins Rev. Ollis Revels officiating.
Interment will be at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Marshville, N.C.
