Enlisted, at age 24, at Albany, NY, to serve three years, and mustered in as a private, Co. H, 44th NY Infantry Regiment, October 2, 1861; died of fever, December 21, 1861, at Hall's Hill (then Alexandria County, now Arlington County) Va.
