Mrs. Lowery died on Saturday, Dec. 20, 2003, at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Born on March 4, 1926, in Alamo, she was the daughter of the late Walter C. Brown and Lucille Williams Brown. On June 22, 1947, she married the late John P. Lowery. Mrs. Lowery was a graduate of Valdosta State University and was a retired teacher from the Thomas County School System. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Thomasville and the Young at Heart.
Survivors include son Kenneth P. Lowery and wife Margaret of Thomasville; daughter Patricia L. Williamson and husband Craig of Tallahassee, Fla.; sister Jewel B. Parker of Statesboro; and grandson Parker Lowery. She was preceded in death by her son, John Thomas "Tommy" Lowery.
