Physician Dies In Blue Mound
Heart Attack Fatal to C. L. Montgomery
Dr. Clinton L. Montgomery, a practicing physician in Blue Mound for the last 38 years, died at 8:30 a.m. today in his home there following a heart attack. He had been a victim of a heart ailment for the past six years.
A son of Levi and Jane Montgomery, early Macon county settlers, he was born near Mount Auburn, April 26, 1867.
He was married to Lida Curl in Decatur Dec. 25, 1889.
Dr. Montgomery came to Blue Mound from Bushnel. He was a captain in the medical corps of the aviation branch during the World war, at the end of which he was made a major.
Besides his wife, he leaves a son, Harry E., Rochester; two brothers, Hiram and Thomas, both of Mt. Auburn; two grandchildren, James, Rochester, and Elizabeth Contz, Blue Mound, and one great-grandchild.
Another son preceded him in death.
Dr. Montgomery was a member of the Blue Mound Methodist church. Eastern Star, the consistory at Middletown, Pa.; American Legion and the Masonic. lodge 682, in which he was a grand lodge officer.
Funeral arrangements, in charge of Dawson and Wikoff, are incomplete

DR. MONTGOMERY, BLUE MOUND, DIES
Funeral services for Dr. Clinton L. Montgomery, a practicing Blue Mound physician for the last 38 years who died Wednesday morning in his home there, will be conducted at 2 p.m., Friday in the Blue Mound Methodist Church. Burial will be in Rochester. The body will be taken to the residence from the Dawson & Wikoff funeral home at 3 p.m., today.
