On March 5, 1916, Irene Blankenship and Otto Shaw were married and to this union 11 children were born. Mr. and Mrs. Shaw had made their home in St. Louis except for the 14 years that they lived in Salem.
Mrs. Shaw attended the Church of God and had made her profession of Faith in Christ many years ago.

Her parents, William Harvey (b: 14 Jun 1869 d: 11 Apr 1952 Burial: Salem, Missouri) and Lilly May (Parks)(b: 26 Aug 1875 m: 25 Feb 1889 d: 19 May 1956 Burial: Hasty Cemetary, Reynolds, Missouri) Blankenship. Her grandparents, Thomas Richard (b: 1812 in Indiana d: 1908) and Polly Ann (Barton) Blankenship.
Two sons, Earl and Bobby; one daughter, Eunice; two grandsons, Ricky and Kevin Shaw; three sisters, Myrt Wisdom, Ona Shaw and Nancy Kay; and three brothers, Anzel, Howard and Jess Blankenship.
Survivors include her husband, Otto of the home in St. Louis; one daughter, Clella Malloy, St. Louis; seven sons, Melvin, Bill, Clyde, Richard and Don Shaw, St. Louis, Bob Shaw, Salem and Charles Shaw of Wenatchee, Wash.; one brother Troy Blankenship, Bonne Terre; one sister, Martha Blake, Wash. state; 22 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and other relatives.
She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Services: Tuesday, July 27, 1982 at 2:00 p.m. in the James & Gahr Chapel.
Officiating: Rev. Virgil Parker and Rev. Louyis Brinker
Interment: Cedar Grove Cemetary in Greely.
Pallbearers: Jeff Shaw, Larry Pieper, Dave Shaw, and Marty Shaw. Interment was in the Cedar Grove Cemetery.
