Winnie and LJ Leuthart met and married in Milford, Iroquois, Illinois, then moved to Havre, Montana, and homesteaded in the Fresno area north of the Bearpaw Mountains, around 1920 to 1925. They then moved to Caspar and Laramie, Wyoming, where their children attended college. In the 1930s they moved to Boicourt, Kansas, near Pleasanton, where LJ continued to farm until his death in 1948 from a stroke.
