His death certificate indicates his father was a Christ Gerber. His marriage record shows he married Amelia A. Becker Dec. 1, 1906 in Amherst, Lorain Co., Ohio. This family appears in the 1920 Russia, Lorain Co., OH Census and the 1930 Brownhelm, Lorain Co., OH Census, where some 12 children are noted.
