Graveside services for Sharon Darnell Beatty, 40, of Galveston were held on Sunday, October 7, at Jackson Cemetery in double Bayou, the Rev. Gil Palmer officating.
Burial followed under the direction of Sterliing Funeral Home of Anahuac.
Beatty died on Saturday, October 6, at Galveston County Memorial Hospital.
She was a native of Galveston, a former resident of Bryan for 10 years and was secretary for the City Gas Company in Galveston.
Survivors include her mother, Irene Nelson of Bryan; five sons, Ben Beatty, David Beatty, and Martin Beatty, all of Houston, and Henry Beatty and Charles Beatty of Joshua; a daughter, Edwina Darnell Beatty of Bethany, OK; a brother, Charles Nelson of Bryan; a sister, Joyce Amason of Galveston; and two uncles, Dan Nelson of Galveston and Lawrence Nelson of Smith Point.
