MUSCATINE, Iowa – Ruth E. Sussex, 91, of Muscatine, died Saturday, June 6, 2009, at Unity Hospital.
The Rev. Mary Pugh will officiate. Burial will be at the Rienzi Cemetery, Fond du Lac, Wis., at a later date.

Mrs. Sussex was born March 27, 1918, in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Fredrick W. and Dora Anna Geve Augsburger. She married Melvin R. Sussex Sept. 12, 1944, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He preceded her in death on June 24, 1998.
She loved sewing, knitting, and gardening.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Ladies' Circle, and the Muscatine General Hospital Auxillary.
Survivors include a son and wife, a daughter and husband, four grandchildren, and special friend, a stepgrandson, and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother, and a sister.
