Born in New Holland, she was the daughter of the late Vernon and Cozetta Buffington Adams. She was a physical therapist before becoming a migrant educator for South Hall High School. She then became a substitute teacher at Johnson High School. She loved animals, loved ones stated. Mrs. Bray was preceded in death by her husband, Col. Jack Dempsey Bray; and a brother, Dr. Carsbie Clifton Adams.
Survivors include daughters, Alesia Bray-Teate, Winder, and Kayron Moreland, Athens; grandchildren, Chase Teate and Jack Moreland; and a sister-in-law, Sharon Adams, Fredericksburg.
Private graveside services will be held Saturday, May 30, at White Hall Baptist Church Cemetery with Brother Spencer Breedlove officiating. The family will receive friends Friday, May 29, at the funeral home from 6 to 9 p.m.
