Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Meiselwitz Funeral Home,
Kiel. John Meyers of the Manitowoc office for the Jehovah Witnesses will conduct the service. Burial will be in Meeme Center Cemetery.
Mr. Karstaedt was born May 21, 1887, in the Town of Mosel, son of the late Frank and Minnie Sietghorst Karstaedt. He married Ida Heckmann Sept. 12, 1916, in the Town of Meeme. The couple located on a farm in the Town of Meeme. Mr. Karstaedt retired in 1956. The couple celebrated
their golden wedding anniversary in September of 1956. His wife preceded him in death March 21, 1967. He was a member of the Manitowoc County Beekeepers Assn. and a former president of the Osman Co-op.
Survivors include three sons, Milton, of Cleveland and Clinton and Donald of rural Manitowoc, four daughters, Mrs. Walter (Verna) Oehldrich, of Howards Grove, Mrs. Clarence (Elmira) Free, of Manitowoc, Mrs. Gilbert
(Dorothy) Wenzel, of Rib Lake, Wis., and Mrs. Jerome (Ruth) Csida, of Reedsville; a brother, Frank, of rural Kiel; a sister, Mrs. Florence Dedering, of Howards Grove; 22 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren
