Margaret Ann Gwin, 84, of Benton died Tuesday, November 22, 2005, at her home. She was born September 30, 1921, in Haskell to James Alexander Ellis and Ida Irene Willis Ellis. A lifelong resident of Saline County, she was a homemaker and for many years, worked as a secretary. Mrs. Gwin was a Baptist and attended Sharon and First Baptist churches of Benton. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, James Bryant Fagan and Mark Gwin; one son, James Richard Fagan; two brothers, James Troy Ellis and Jackie Don Willis; and one sister, Tincy Marie Ellis Hardin Stimpson. Survivors include one daughter, Ann Fagan Smart; one brother, Joe Willis of Benton; one sister, Carolyn Byrd of Mississippi; four grandchildren, Deborah Wade of Fairfield Bay, Bryan Smart and Brandon Smart, both of Benton, and Vicki Park of Missouri; and nine great-grandchildren. Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at McPherson Cemetery on Salt Creek Road in Benton, with the Rev. Ben Palmer officiating. Pallbearers will be Bryan Smart, Brandon Smart, Ted Wade, Mike Robinson, Josh Helton and Johnnie Smith. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Ashby Funeral Home.
