Edith King Stone, 93 years of age, of West Somerset, Kentucky, departed this life on Wednesday, December 18th, 1991 at the Lake Cumberland Humana Hospital following a lengthy illness at the Britthaven Nursing Home.

Edith was born in Pulaski County, Kentucky on May 27th, 1898, daughter of the late R.T. and Rosie King. Edith was a homemaker and a member of the Buena Vista Baptist Church.

Edith was survived by two sons, Ernest Stone of Cincinnati, Ohio and Herbert Junior Stone of West Somerset, Kentucky; three daughters, Betty Cox, Mary Jean Loveless, and Darlene Brumley, all of Cincinnati, Ohio; sixteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends who mourn her passing.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Elmor Stone, whom she married in 1919; three sons, Charles R. Stone, who died in infancy, and Willie Stone and James Stone; and two daughters, Dorthy Hancock and Eula Bell Howell.

Funeral services were held at the Buena Vista Baptist Church with Rev. Clyde Strunk Officiating. Arrangements were handled by the Morris and Hislope Funeral Home.

Burial was in the Tanner Cemetery in Somerset, Kentucky.
